Weer een Adoptie

Geweldig weer een Koala geadoteerd door Diane, dochter van Aggie die er zelf ook twee heeft geadopteerd en ook haar zoon heeft er een genomen. Leuk de hele familie heeft een Koala geadopteerd.
On 24 October 2007, our rescuers were called to the unlikely location of the Settlers Inn Tavern, a pub on a busy Port Macquarie road. Patrons in the beer garden had noticed a very small koala climbing a palm tree and were concerned that she appeared too young to be out on her own.
Casey was brought to the hospital where she was found to be in great shape, with no physical trauma and excellent muscle tone. But a palm tree near a pub (with construction sites nearby) is not a safe location for a young koala. Casey needed no treatment, just a safe place to grow. She was placed in our “joey yard” and given daily fresh leaf. She has steadily put on weight and, aside from a brief spate of ticks, she is doing well and progressing towards release in the first half of 2008.

Kijk nu toch wat lief, we hadden beter wat dichter in de buurt daar kunnen gaan wonen, dan had ik ze allemaal kunnen bezoeken. Maar wie weet als we nog eens op vakantie gaan die richting op.
