DescriptionPopular Scottish singer Isla Grant, is returning to Australia in June 2009 for an extensive Australian tour. Isla is performing live at Norwood Concert Hall on Friday 3 July. Isla’s warm personality strikes a chord with audiences on both sides of the Irish Sea and through-out all parts of Australia. Singing songs from hit platinum albums that have made her a huge star in Scotland and Ireland, Isla’s tour kicks off in Queensland, travels down the east coast and will conclude in Perth. Isla’s songs combine the purity and warmth of folk and country music with beautiful lyrics that capture a moment. Laatst was ik bij Beatrice en we hadden het over country Music, ze gaf mij een cd die ik heb meegenomen naar huis om te beluisteren. En het is niet wat we gewend zijn van de Amerikaanse Country Music, zoals Alan Jackson en Johnny Cash maar het was toch goed.
Beatrice belde mij op en vertelde dat er een concert was, en of we mee gingen naar dat concert. Dus 3 juli gaan wij samen met James en Beatrice naar dat concert.
Ik zou er eigenlijk wel foto's van willen nemen zoals we ook hebben gedaan in Amerika, maar ja dan zit je daar net als een tourist en dat vind ik maar niks. Maar ik laat jullie wel weten hoe het was maar dan zonder foto's.

Dan ben je geweest, hebt een wereldavond gehad, en zit dan later thuis te denken "had ik toch maar foto's genomen...".
En dat alleen omdat jij niet wilt dat andere mensen (die je nota bene niet eens kent en die jou niet kennen) heel misschien zullen denken dat je een toerist bent.....
So what???
Bedenk je nou toch eens, in Amerika zat je er niet mee, omdat je een toerist was. En hier woon je nu, en bent bang dat iemand misschien denkt dat je een toerist bent. Alsof het een ernstige ziekte is of zoiets.... of een ernstige vorm van obesitas....
Alsof de hele zaal gillend van de lach naar jou gaat zitten staren, roepend "moet je kijken!!!! een toerist!!!! omdat je een paar foto's neemt.
En daar moet ik dan weer vreselijk om lachen....

Nu Lia misschien heb je gelijk, niet erg hoor als iemand denkt dat is een tourist ben maar ik zit wel de hele avond met dat grote fototoestel op schoot. Ga je in de pauze wat drinken loop ik daar weer mee rond. En dat vind ik niet prettig, dus toen zeiden we tegen elkaar dan gaan we maar niet als tourist zitten.Ik zal even vragen of Beatrice misschien een kleiner toestel heeft zodat we die dan meenemen. En dan komen er misschien toch nog foto's.

Foto's zijn altijd leuk. En dan kunnen wij hier ook nog meegenieten... Want elke dag als ik kijk en ineens iets anders zie dan de dag ervoor, denk ik "o, leuk, nieuwe foto's!!".
